american shows rock the hse!

ok, so its not as if i'm being biased or anything, but i've been watching so many american shows these days that i really think that taiwanese shows are quite amateur (no offense to ppl who like taiwanese shows, esp sj-tachi). its just that, taiwanese shows are hardly entertaining and infomative
for the benefit of oneself at the same time(dun ask me to watch nat geog or animal planet for those,
cos i alr do.) and occasionally a couple of good shows such as 舞林大道 and 百分百 come along, and idol-dramas are so below the charts compared to jap (or even korean) dramas (and i dun really like korean in the 1st place).
good humor is also hard to come by in taiwan also, cos they cant suan ppl like in america where free will reigns and censorship is only applicable for vulgarities lol. maybe thats why i love to watch the late late show with craig ferguson. yea, watch an old sour man make awful remarks abt everyone else in the world while hosting the show with a monkey & shark. & he can talk crap with celebs and joke abt politics, but at the same time be serious abt some things.
now thats good o'entertainment for me. not that crazy 小S isnt good enough, she's just well, crazy. but that kind of humor wears out after a while, i mean if u want crazy, watch fred on youtube. now thats crazy & gay. two for the price of one yea.
and talent shows are actually quite "fake". i dunno if its cos the audience is small (by audience i mean the ones who actually get to vote.) but the popularity of winners, oh and even singers too, seem to die down quite fast (good egs of sg are chen weilian, kelly phoon, hong junyang*bleah* etc, taiwan singers such as wan zi, comic boyz, r&b) plus the entertainment industry really likes to just pull out any tom dick and harry for a couple of albums before they die down. whats the point then?! i mean, just get a few really good ones(like 小猪) and it'll be good enough. when u look at taiwan's industry u have to look for those artists who have been surviving for at least 5 years to know that they're really withstanding.
but america, now thats another story. USA's like the trendsetter for other countries, so when they have talent, they really do cos the voters are so huge in numbers, it becomes a huge filter for those who are
really popular becoz of their talent vs. those who are just "a phase".
dramas, well, obviously USA wins hands down. otherwise how are they able to make seasons of a show vs. multiple "inadequate" idol-dramas/shows in taiwan and even sg?
reality tv is even worse, since taiwan etc are like doing all these cos they're jumping on the bandwagon? USA & Japan's got it covered, so just stop trying to mimic & actually think of some creative ideas for new reality shows.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition* (now thats what you call a renovation of lives)
The Girls of Hedsor Hall* (bitchy girls all together on the road to become proper young ladies, now thats what i call conflicting=> good substance entertainment. plus its more enriching and beneficial in the long run to the contestants, unlike ANTM.)
